Westport's standard interior arrangement provides what buyers have consistently sought in this size: a five-stateroom layout that can handle a variety of guest combinations. The standard joinery is cherry, which complements the wide range of stones and soft goods from which clients may choose as part of the base price, which, these days, is in the neighborhood of $13 million. Susan confirmed that the company's unique turnkey program, in which all of the interior fitout and all outfitting are included in the sales price, works quite well indeed.
"We went there each month and followed the progress," she explained. "We made a couple of changes and then we added the hardtop. It was a good experience, because the interior design people know the boat and have gone through all the decorating and all the pain of finding the best ways to lay things out, so you can go with what they know."
The master cabin, which is located forward on the main deck, is bright and airy, thanks to large windows that run the full length on each side. Two heads, divided by a spa tub aud a separate, glass enclosed shower stall, are positioned forward of the stateroom. The guest accommodation is accessed from the central stairway in the main deck lobby. Like her sisterships, Corrie Lynn's arrangement includes a pair of forward cabins fitted with athwartships kingsize berths and a pair of twin cabins.
Susan worked with the interior designers on the boat's décor, including the extensive outfitting that is part of Westport's scope of supply. Art was commissioned, as were some special-order items, including some hand-painted china and a set of Four Seasons hotel linens that Bob prefers.
Capt. Steve Rodda monitored the build for the owners and was impressed with the builder's cooperation and with the performance of the boat. "We launched, made a few checks, and moved right over to the fuel dock to prepare for trials. As soon as the trials were over, we headed south." Enroute to Monterey Bay to meet the owners in November, Corrie Lynn sailed through some ugly conditions. Rodda said the boat handled it in stride, and now, several thousand miles from Westport, only minor glitches have appeared. 'We've received very good service from Ron Miller and the folks in customer service. They've been great and have made our cruise a lot easier." Bob concurs. "It's been a very good experience."
