The ultra-luxurious cruising grounds of the French Riviera never go out of style.

One of the world’s first modern resort areas, the Côte d’Azur remains to this day the playground for the rich, famous and fabulous. The Classic South of France Cruising Grounds – With A Twist.

French Riviera – Monaco Grand Prix | Cannes Film Festival

Of course, you might also want to plan your trip to coincide with one of the mega-events taking place on the French Riviera in May, such as the celebrity-studded Cannes Film Festival or the heart-pumping F1 Monaco Grand Prix, watching the race from the deck of your yacht.

And no matter what time of year, there is something for every taste happening in the principality of Monaco – from the Printemps des Arts Festival and the Rolex Monte-Carlo Masters tennis tournament in the spring, to cookery classes at the Hôtel de Paris and summer festival concerts.

St-Jean-Cap-Ferrat to Cannes

Meet the yacht at anchor off Cap Ferrat, an escape of calm and greenery set outside Monaco. Before embarking, pay a visit to the historical Grand-Hôtel du Cap-Ferrat, a Four Seasons property. Once onboard, sail along the coast to Antibes, where guests can go ashore to visit the Musée Picasso and have lunch.

Sail on to Cannes, anchoring by Iles de Lérins for the night. The yacht’s tender will take you to the islands, where you can hike and visit the Fort Royal and Musée de la Mer. Have dinner on board – and enjoy the view.

Cannes to Saint-Tropez

Spend the morning playing with the yacht’s water toys. After working up an appetite, enjoy lunch ashore on Ile Sainte-Marguerite before sailing onwards to Saint-Tropez. The yacht might berth in this historic and glamorous port for the evening, or anchor in the bay for the night.

There are many fabulous restaurants in Saint-Tropez; the crew can book you into Le Girelier on the harbor or try the chef’s menu at the three-Michelin-star restaurant La Vague d’Or.

Cassis

In the morning, cruise to Cassis, where the yacht will anchor for the day. From here, the tender will whisk you to see the Calanques. Watersports and hiking are on the agenda, as is exploring the town – a more relaxed sister to Saint-Tropez, with plentiful shopping and dining options. Tonight, enjoy dinner while underway on the way to Ile des Embiez.

Ile des Embiez to Pampelonne Beach

Awake at anchor off the island of Ile des Embiez – a beautiful spot that isn’t part of your typical South of France charter itinerary. Take a tender ashore and hike and explore the island. Then you will have lunch underway as the yacht makes her way to Pampelonne Beach. Have dinner on shore at Indie Beach.

Saint-Tropez

It’s back to Saint-Tropez to bid your charter adieu. But before you head back home, enjoy a few more diversions onshore. Your crew might arrange a private tour at the Venet Foundation Museum. Or perhaps there’s a bit more shopping you want to fit in. Then it’s back to the real world, having enjoyed a different side of the South of France.

Saint-Tropez to Le Lavandou

After breakfast on board, spend the morning wandering the narrow streets of Saint-Tropez. Then it’s a few hours’ cruises to Le Lavandou, a spot that is so off-the-beaten-path that you need permission to go here. Anchor on board for the night, enjoying dinner under the stars.

Le Lavandou

Take a tender ride to Port-Cros, and explore the town or hike across the island. The next stop is Saint-Clair Beach, where guests will enjoy lunch. Make a reservation for Restaurant les Tamaris and try the special bouillabaisse, which must be ordered in advance. In the afternoon, the yacht will cruise to Bandol.

Bandol

Wake up in the pretty waters off Bandol. Play golf at the Dolce Frégate Provence course, or try the spa at the Hotel Ile Rousse. After a morning of play or pampering, spend the afternoon exploring Bendor Island, a short tender ride away. Have your chef prepare a special meal tonight on board.
